At Soil Steam, we are working toward a world where soil and growth media can be reused safely, efficiently, and sustainably. Our vision is to replace chemicals and destructive treatment methods with gentle thermal steaming—contributing to circular value chains in soil, waste, and food production.
Soil Steam began as a field trial on a farm in Vestfold, Norway. Today, we are a technology company with international reach. Our technology is developed in Norway, tested through EU-funded projects, and protected by global patents. With hands-on experience in construction, greenhouse production, and research environments, we design solutions in close dialogue with end users.
Our interdisciplinary team includes engineers, agronomists, researchers, and technical specialists. We collaborate with organizations such as NIBIO, NMBU, BAMA, Skagerak Mat, and several EU projects to continuously improve our technology.
We are based in Sandefjord, Norway, with partners and customers across Europe and North America.
Want to help solve real-world problems with real technology? We’re looking for people who enjoy building, testing, and improving—from prototype to market-ready solutions.
